Holy Cow!

March 17, 2010

So we heard back from the Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati and they want us to come for a consultation next wednesday. This is exciting news! But Kelli went in to the specialist to get checked up because she has been leaking fluid since they did the amniocentesis. It turns out that her bag of water has been ruptured and she is leaking amniotic fluid. It isn’t a bad leak so far but the specialist has admitted Kelli into the hospital for observation and monitoring. They are giving her antibiotics through an IV and have given her a steroid shot to help Joshua’s lungs develop faster just in case he decides to show up early. They are monitoring her for signs of labor and at the first sign, they will give her Magnesium Sulfate which will be used to stop labor.  So this is an interesting predicament that we are in.  We need Joshua to stay in the womb for as long as possible.  We also need to get to Cincinnati for his care.  She is stuck in the hospital until the fluid stops leaking.  So I guess we are again at the same point we have been in since we moved to NM, not knowing what is going to happen and there is nothing we can do about it.  Please pray…

Praying Kelli doesn’t go into labor and Joshua stays put for weeks to come. Stay strong for one another.

Hey…when it rains it pours. I put you on the prayer wall and sent out prayer requests for you. We’re heading out still so let us know what hospital you’re at in case you’re not home when we get there. Praying for you always…Loretta
