Joshua’s Here!

March 26, 2010

Joshua was born @ 6:42am on 3-26-10.  He weighs 2lbs 5oz and is 14.5 inches long.  He was born via Emergency C-Section because of complications but made an attempt to cry.  We heard 4 or 5 little squeaks before they whisked him away.  The good news is that he was not blue but was a little pale and he did not need to be resuscitated which is what everyone, including myself, was thinking the way things were going to go.  He is doing remarkably well and has surprised the doctors and the surgeon that will be performing the diaphragmatic hernia.  He is a fighter!  Hopefully, he keeps the fighting up!  I have a bunch of info in my head but I am not able to get it out right now.  I will update with more info as I can.

Yay!!!! Go Joshua!!! I have been checking and praying all day today! What a beautiful boy … you should be very, very proud of your little fighter!!!!!!!!! My little R-CDHer was more than 7 weeks early, so I know a little of the fear and stress you guys are going through.
You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers!
