Joshua Day 3

March 29, 2010

Joshua is now 3 days old!  He has beaten all odds and has stayed with us.  Joshua actually had a “good” night last night!  By “good” I mean, we weren’t called in to the middle of the night and he was pretty calm all night.  That makes me feel good after 2 close calls in 2 days.  He is still critical as they have had to add machines and medications in order to keep him stable but overall I hope we have reached a point where he can maybe actually improve.  So, the plan for Joshua is to keep watching him and see how he does.  We talk with the surgeon today sometime and I will post an update once I get a chance.  I did meet 2 people from the surgical team and they said that there are no plans for surgery for at least 1 to 2 weeks to give Joshua a chance to become stable enough and maybe even improve. So, we play more of the waiting game.  Please continue to pray for little Joshua to get stronger!  He’s a tough cookie and has made it through so much already!  Kelli and I love this little guy so much it is amazing!  We have learned so much from him and we will never be the same!
